We are happy to announce the second webinar in our 2026 webinar series - The Provisional Patent Playbook: Changing the Approach to Avoid the Traps. Join us on October 8, 2026 at 12:00 Central.

A provisional patent application can lock in your priority date and buy you a year to build out your invention and your later non-provisional application. BUT, a provisional only protects what it actually discloses. The Federal Circuit's June 2026 decision in Enanta Pharmaceuticals v. Pfizer emphasized exactly how a gap between a provisional's disclosure and a later-filed claim can cost a company its priority date, and with it, the patent itself.

Join me and Mike Wiwchar for a free 60-minute webinar weighing when and how to use provisional applications as part of your overall IP portfolio. We'll cover what a provisional actually protects, where the benefits are real, and where the traps hide, helping you to create an effective provisional filing strategy.
